Advice for recent college grads about dream jobs and dream companies.

It is about to be summer, and that means we are in the midst of graduation season, and this year, 2 million students will be graduating and entering the workforce. On this episode of Self Made, Jessica gets real and reminds all of us, not just these newly minted grads, that the Unicorn Farm is NOT hiring.  The Unicorn Farm?  Well, as we pursue a life full of passion, let’s not confuse said passion with fantasy.  Bottom line, even if you have landed your “dream job” with your “dream company,” whether you are a new graduate or you have been in the workforce for 30 years, you are going to have to do things you do not want to, not just once, or twice, but all the time.  You will do things that bore you, the scare you, that excites you, that challenge you -- how you decide to show up and add value is the key to finding passion and purpose at work.
